Tom Woods interviewed me for episode 1030 of his podcast. We talked about my local efforts to confront the surveillance state here in my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky, the lawsuit the city filed against me because of my efforts and more generally the power of local activism.
Tom and I started off the conversation talking about how the discovery of cameras in a park near my house motivated me to take action. That led into a conversation about the lawsuit the city of Lexington filed against me after I submitted an open records request. From there, we moved into a broader discussion of surveillance and how local government spying feeds into the broader federal surveillance state. We rounded things out talking about the importance and effectiveness of local activism.
